I’m Dr. Eva Wahu Jones, a licensed and board-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (DNP-PMHNP), trained at the University of Washington. I’m so grateful you’re here. Reaching out for psychiatric or mental health support is an act of courage, and my goal is to help you find the right fit for your needs — whether that ends up being with me or someone else. I care deeply about creating a space that feels safe, compassionate, and grounded, and I bring that care into every conversation.
My approach blends modern science, psychological insight, and whole-person healing. I draw from psychiatry, neuroscience, psychology, and ego states work, integrating how the brain and body shape our emotions with evidence-based therapeutic and medical care. A central part of my work is the Authentic-Self Modality (ASM) — a philosophy that helps clients understand their patterns, move beyond old survival habits, and reconnect with who they truly are. I also incorporate CBT, mindfulness, meditation, and lifestyle-based practices to build resilience, stability, and long-term mental health. When appropriate, I integrate psychopharmacology and collaborate with outside providers for advanced treatments like TMS.
I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, OCD, mood disorders, addiction, postpartum depression, and I have a special focus on supporting women navigating infertility challenges. My goal is to help you find balance, strengthen your sense of self, and live with greater serenity, clarity, and grit.

A Comprehensive Look
Psychiatric Assessment
The first step in working together includes a comprehensive assessment of the symptoms you are experiencing, your psychosocial and medical history, and your goals for treatment. After the assessment, we will create an individualized and evidence-based treatment plan that may include therapeutic strategies, medication recommendations, or lifestyle changes.
When treatment begins, the most important thing for me is to get to know you. I want you to feel comfortable with working with me in a collaborative way where we make decisions together. Our sessions will feel more like a conversation than a doctors appointment.
We will spend the first part of the session exploring “why now”? What was your path before coming and what led you to coming in to speak with me? I want to know what your goals are, what your hopes are for working together. We rule out what factors could be from stress going on in life, genetics or medical history, and stressors in your life. We will spend the last portion of the session on understanding what options there are for treatment which may include medication or recommendations for therapeutic services.
Individualized Treatment Plans
Medication Management
Medication management includes prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications to assist clients in achieving fulfillment in their mental health.
Medications are sometimes used to support other therapeutic strategies or to provide faster relief of distressing symptoms, with the goal of discontinuing medications once clients have established healthier coping skills and made appropriate lifestyle changes.
In addition to medication, we also may incorporate lifestyle, sleep, or nutrition recommendations, in addition to encouraging alternative approaches such as meditation and mindfulness.
Whether you are currently on psychiatric medication, have recently started on it, or want to taper off medication, we will work together to create a thorough and individualized treatment plan for you to feel better and be your best self.
Tools And Coping Skills
Integrative Therapy Services
Through integrative psychotherapeutic strategies, I will provide you with the tools and coping skills you need to process and alleviate stressors and optimize mental health.
I take a relational, patient-centered approach that incorporates elements of CBT, DBT, & IFS depending on your needs.
I also incorporate mindfulness and meditation into sessions as well. If you are interested in learning more about mindfulness or meditation, we can further discuss these interventions as an additional aspect of our sessions.
If you have an outside therapist, I will work collaboratively with them to establish a “treatment team” and address your symptoms together.

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)
ADHD affects attention, impulse control, and activity levels. We provide tailored treatment plans including therapy and medication to help manage symptoms, improve focus, and enhance daily functioning and relationships.
Mood Disorders
We all experience emotional ups and downs, but when mood shifts become extreme, persistent, or disruptive, they may indicate a deeper issue. Mood disorders affect how you feel, think, and function daily. Seeking help is the first step toward feeling like yourself again and Serenity Psychiatry is here to help!
Anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder)
GAD involves persistent, uncontrollable worry that disrupts daily life. Our care includes therapeutic support and medication management to reduce anxiety, promote calm, and restore emotional balance and confidence.
OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder)
OCD causes intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors. We manage obsessions and reduce compulsions through therapy, education, and medication, helping you regain control and improve overall daily functioning.
